It is not often that a successful corporate executive will abandon a thriving career filled with monetary rewards and prestige. Yet while at the peak of her 20-year career as a Vice President in the direct marketing industry, Susan Hanshaw did just that. Having realized that she was not aligned with her true passions and purpose, she left her corporate career in May of 2005.
Susan’s journey away from the corporate world was the inspiration for her first book: Unleashing Your Soul: Finding the Courage to Follow Your Heart. It is a heartfelt gift of encouragement for those yearning to follow a path of purpose in their own lives. Her second and newly released book, Inner Architect: How to Build the Life You Were Designed to Live is a step-by-step guide for leaving a secure job to bring your dream to life.
During the spring of 2007, her first book caught the attention of the Martha Stewart Living Radio network, and Susan was invited to appear as guest on Career Talk with host Maggie Mistel. Susan speaks at career and entrepreneur resource centers, civic service and New Thought organizations.
Along with a Bachelors's Degree in Business Management, Susan has received certification as an ordained ministerial counselor and applies her understanding of spiritual principles as empowerment for everyday life.
