choose to believe in yourself

In this article:

  1. Characteristics of a belief in yourself
  2. How to build your confidence
  3. How to maintain your commitment to do the necessary work
  4. How to persevere throughout the process

Your beliefs and the actions that result from your beliefs drive your success and your financial abundance. For many people, the idea that they hold the power over their financial well-being is very exciting. Others find this understanding intimidating. How you perceive your power over money greatly lies in your ability to believe in yourself.

Believing in yourself is more than positive thinking and hoping for the best. Developing a strong belief in yourself is the result of setting the intention and trusting yourself enough to follow through. Believing in yourself is a choice.

You show that you believe in yourself through these characteristics:

  1. Confidence in your abilities to fulfill your vision
  1. Commitment to do the necessary work
  1. Effort of doing your best work
  1. Perseverance throughout the process

There are things you can do, actions you can take, to develop each of these characteristics, and consequently, your belief in yourself.

 How to build your confidence:

  • Increase your knowledge and expertise by taking classes or reading books and articles.
  • Practice your craft alone or in front of people.
  • Offer your work for free to get feedback.
  • Surround yourself with people who believe in you and let their beliefs rub off on you.

How to maintain your commitment:

  • Break your vision down into key areas for development.
  • Create step-by-step goals for each area of development.
  • Keep working through your goals step by step.
  • Incorporate the confidence building ideas above as needed.

 How to maintain your effort:

  • Always give a minimum of 100% of your best to your work.
  • Don’t get sloppy or cut corners to finish the job more quickly.
  • Recognize that others can benefit by what you have to offer.

 How to maintain perseverance:

  •  Think of this as your chance to make your dream come true.
  • Don’t allow yourself any regrets about what you didn’t do.
  • Expect there to be challenges, and tell yourself that they will be well worth it.
  • Remember that each step brings you that much closer to your desired results.
