I often use heart, as I did in this article, as a bodily symbol for our inner voice. When we are in touch with that voice, our higher self, then we get close to God.

Interesting thoughts, but I know many who have followed their heart and ended up in mess. The Bible, a guide for Christians instructs us that "the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked, who can know it?" While we are following the areas that are heart longs for, we have to be careful that our desires line up with God's desires for our life. Psalm 37:4 says, Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart." There is a sequence to following your heart, it starts with delighting in God.

NyteG,

All the credit goes to Susan as heart is her specialty. I added a sprinkle of kindness but she is very adept at describing what is often in the indescribable.

Thanks again for your kind words and please come back again!

Yes they are very powerful "indicators" that too often we ignore because we have often been taught to be practical.

It's as if we are often taught to deny our emotions as signs of weakness when often they are guideposts for what we really desire to create.

Thanks Jacqueline!
