The Bible, a guide for Christians instructs us that "the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked, who can know it?" While we are following the areas that are heart longs for, we have to be careful that our desires line up with God's desires for our life. Psalm 37:4 says, Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart." There is a sequence to following your heart, it starts with delighting in God.
